The new system of classification of higher education is simpler-accredited and non-accredited. The institutions will be classified into 5 levels by December.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has stated that higher education institutions (HEIs) will no longer be given grades but only categorised as 'accredited' or 'non-accredited'.To encourage institutions to achieve to its highest potential, five levels will be given from one to five.
