Adding sweets to a mid-day meal scheme has ensured 100% attendance in a school in Naregal town in Gadag district in Karnataka. The government primary school started offering sweets to students since last two years under the Amrit Bhojan initiative supported by donors. The school has 307 students-125 boys and 182 girls.
