Concrete to Build Homes in Mars

Star Crete is made using Martian soil mixed with potato starch and a pinch of salt. This is twice as strong as ordinary concrete and suited for outer space use

Scientists at University of Manchester have created a new material, dubbed as 'Star Crete' which is made from extra-terrestrial dust, potato starch, and a pinch of salt. Building infrastructure in space is currently prohibitively expensive and difficult to achieve.
