Salience of Dravidian

Dravidian languages have some common features with other South Asian languages. But differ in some areas. They have greatly enriched Indian Knowledge Systems.

Studying Dravidian languages will be useful for understanding Indian knowledge systems. They are also part of the Indian grammatical traditions.  In Dravidian languages, the verb typically comes at the end, whereas in the English language, it may be placed in the middle. For eg. the sentence, "They have kept (their) money in the bank.
