A world abundant in information is also facing an information crisis. The 14th Edition of Digital News Report, released by Reuters in November 2025, stated that a large proportion of news consumers are concerned about their inability to distinguish true and false information. The concern was highest in Africa (73%), the US (73%), and Western Europe (46%).
