The red dust of Dantewada stays with you long after you leave. During my PhD fieldwork in 2014 and early 2015, I spent three months embedded in the landscape of Chhattisgarh—even venturing into the dense jungles where the line between governance and insurgency is often blurred.I witnessed a fascinating experiment in peacebuilding led by the then-District Collector, KC Devasenapathy.
