As AI and technology become part of childhood, the challenge is to help children build healthier habits while preserving curiosity, judgement and connection.
During my experience working with school students, one activity in particular made me pause and
think about our relationship with technology. I was working with a group of preadolescent students
as part of a participatory research study exploring their experiences of phone use. Through Body
Mapping and Tree of Life, the students were given an opportunity to express their experiences
visually and reflect on how technology had become part of their everyday lives.
