Whenever I speak my mother tongue, I need not bother with "how"! If I speak in a second language, I must be careful and well-prepared about what I say and how I express myself. I am confident in my ability to use the English language effectively; however, my audience feels more at ease when I speak in my mother tongue, the language of the heart.
