Textile trade will play an important role in enhancing the trade between the United States and India.
In a recent meeting, Mr Piyush Goyal, Minister of
Commerce, Government of India, stated that India should aim to reach exports
valued at US$ one trillion in 2026-27. Currently, India’s total export value is
US$ 441.75 billion, and it has an overall trade deficit of US$ 334.27 billion.
United States remains the number one trading partner with a total value of US$
