West Bengal to Teach Covid to Students

Teacher Insights

West Bengal Education Department is planning to introduce a chapter on Covid-19 in the school curriculum in 2021. The chapter will contain information about the nature of corona virus and necessary precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak. It will be implemented from primary to higher classes. Basic hygiene, safety measures and types of contagion and its mutants will be taught in higher classes. Discussions are being held with teachers, educationists, doctors, virologists and epidemiologists to decide on the content. Such information will be useful for the younger generation to get fully prepared for future viral or pandemic outbreaks.
