Multigrains are packed with lot of minerals, high protein and calcium vital for a growing child. Multigrain Banana Pancake may be the right choice for your kid.

Healthy snacks help to satisfy hunger between meals and boost energy. It round out the diet, ensuring that children are getting all of the nutrients they need to fuel their growth and development. Learning to eat and enjoy healthy snacks encourages kids to develop healthy eating habits. Toddlers may not eat much at sitting stage so they often get hungry before the next meal. At this age, kids may need to eat five or six times a day — three meals and two to three snacks.

Why multi grains are vital for a child’s health? Multi grains are commonly known as ‘superfoods’. They are the small cereal grains belonging to the grass family. It has gained popularity because it’s gluten-free, boost high protein, fiber, and antioxidant content.  It provides plenty of phosphorus and magnesium which is necessary for proper neuromuscular function and finger millet (commonly called as ragi) packs more calcium than any other cereal. It also helps in normal contraction of muscles. It helps to hydrate colon which prevent constipation in children. It is also rich in prebiotics which helps to keeps the gut healthy.

Jaggery


Jaggery is a type of unrefined sugar made from sugar cane or palm India's traditional superfood. It is a sweetener that’s becoming popular as a ‘healthy’ replacement for sugar. It may also contain small amounts of B vitamins and minerals, including calcium, zinc, phosphorus and copper. What are the benefits of consuming jaggery for kids?

1) Cleanses the whole body.

2) Improves digestion and prevents constipation and works as a laxative, enhancing production of digestive enzymes.

3) Prevents anemia as it is the richest source of iron.


4) Improves immune function.

5) Aids glucose control and weight loss. 

6) Jaggery generates heat in the body.

7) Prevents respiratory problems.


Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is a good option for people with lactose intolerance or milk allergy. It is a high-calorie food. About 93% of its calories come from fat, including saturated fat. Lauric acid in coconut milk helps protect against infections and bacteria. Coconut milk is also a good source of niacin, iron, and copper.

Ghee

Ghee is also a good source of energy for children. It is packed with saturated fatty acids, which provide energy and stamina. Helps in brain development: Ghee is a rich source of Omega 3 fatty acids which can be beneficial for kids.


Multigrain Banana PanCake

Ingredients :-

•Multi grain flour - 5 tbsp.

•Banana (small ) - 1.


•Cardamom- 2. 

•Jaggery - 3 tbsp (adjust the sweetness as required).

•Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup.

•Ghee – 2 tsp. 


•Salt - As per taste. 

•Water.

Preparation

Put all the ingredients in a mixer, add required water and grind it to a thick batter. 


Take a saute pan. Brush it with oil or ghee, once the pan is hot, gently pour the batter. Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes and flip it cook the other side as well. Now multi grain pan cake is ready. Glaze it with honey and serve hot. This can be taken as snack and even as healthy breakfast or dinner too.
