Maneka Gandhi's Suggestions for Curriculam Redesign

New Delhi: Union Minister Maneka Gandhi has suggested the ministry of Human Resource Development to include books from all regions in the school curriculam. She also suggested to include moral science class too, pointing that it will promote greater religious tolerance.

These suggestions were made at the 65th meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE).

The suggestions came out during the meeting include having vegetarian menu for mid-day meals served in schools, saying 'Jai Hind' instead of 'present mam or sir' during school attendance,  re-modelling of the NCERT syllabus to ensure value and culture-based education.

Most of the participants raised their concern over the increasing religious intolerance.
