India Govt To Launch School Nursery Initiative, Students to Plant Tree Saplings

India Government plans to launch an initiative called School Nursery across the country where school kids will plant a seed, nurture the sapling and on his or her annual result would take the plant to be a trophy, according to Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Information and Broadcasting.

"For the amount of oxygen an individual requires, he should plant at least 8-10 saplings in his lifespan," he said. India's Forest Cover has riven by 1% in the last five years, according to Prakash Javadekar
