Here Comes a Speaking Chatbot to Teach Language

Romania: Romanian-based language app developer Mondly has launched a new mobile app pairing augmented reality with its speech chatbot. The speech chatbot, which acts as a virtual teacher, gives the user the impression of a real classroom.

MondlyAR (Augmented Reality) emphasises fun, with the teacher presenting objects and animals with which learners can interact. The app can is preloaded with seven languages as of now- American English, British English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and German. The developers expect to expand to 30 languages by August 2018.

The language learning app market has seen significant growth recently, as developers work to find the best way to engage learners and increase subscription rates, reports The Pie news. MondlyAR is currently available through the Mondly app on Google Play, with an Apple version available at the end of March.
