Former EU Commissioner joins LSE Department of Health Policy

Christos Stylianides, a former EU Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management and EU Ebola Coordinator, has been appointed a Visiting Professor in Practice at LSE’s Department of Health Policy. As Visiting Professor in Practice, he will play an active part in the Department, delivering lectures to students and the public, participating in expert workshops as well as undertaking his own work. 

  Stylianides was European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management from 2014-2019 and EU Ebola Coordinator from 2014-2016. He assumed these roles having previously served twice as the Government Spokesperson of the Republic of Cyprus.
