ETH Zurich to suspend most classroom teaching

Policy Indications

The Executive Board of ETH Zurich has decided to extensively restrict classroom teaching starting on 2 November, with all lectures and nearly all exercise groups to be held online. With the number of coronavirus cases growing rapidly, ETH Zurich sees no choice but to extensively restrict classroom teaching starting on 2 November. The ETH community will receive detailed information over the course of the next week. Student workplaces will continue to be available. But everyone must strictly adhere to all rules regarding distancing, hygiene and masks – both at the workplaces and everywhere else on campus.

A detailed plan for the switch to online teaching is currently in the works. Experimental research activities – including technology platforms and workshops – will continue to operate without restriction. The same applies to all spin-off activities on campus.
