EdTech Core of Pakistan’s Education Policy

Shafqat Mahmood, Federal Minister for Education of Pakistan has stated that EdTech will be the core pillar of Pakistan Education Policy 2021. EdTech will be deployed to make learning holistic, enjoyable and integrated. He said that EdTech encourages innovation in the learning process. The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training will launch a $200mn project in collaboration with World Bank for online content development and it will help to develop Pakistan’s EdTech industry too. Computer education is being imparted from Class VI to VII. Teacher training and ensuring internet connectivity across the nation has become the top priority. Efforts will be made to address the challenges of out-of-school children, the issue of equity and learning poverty through EdTech solutions.
