Draft New Education Policy:Deadline for Suggestions Extended to July 31

India Government has extended the deadline for submitting public comments and suggestions on the draft of New Education Policy till 31st July 2019. The earlier deadline was June 30, 2019.The draft of New Education policy has been put on a public domain from May 31st this year. So far 50,000 comments and suggestions have been received according to Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank', Union Minister for HRD. He added that the deadline has been extended to invite more suggestions from public and all stakeholders and to increase participation in framing the policy.
The committee led by Dr K Kasturirangan had submitted draft of New Education policy to Union HRD Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal in New Delhi on 31st May. The draft of New Education policy talks about the reforms in education system of the country and holistic development of all the students.
