Compulsory Schooling in France from Age 3

French Government has introduced a new bill that makes it mandatory for all children from age 3 to attend school. Homeschooling will be allowed only under special circumstances. The bill is aimed at cracking down on illegal schools where education is conducted under a particular agenda. The new law will be applicable to people of all religions and is aimed at checking ‘Islamic Fundamentalism.’ French President Emmanuel Macron has said that this bill will be effective in rooting out the separatists who are weakening the nation and children will be provided with the right education from the beginning. It may be noted that since the Paris incident, Macron is taking tough steps against Islamic terrorism. Due to this, Muslim countries including Turkey and Pakistan have opened a front against him.
