Cochlear Implants Raise Perception of Health

Health Monitor

Cochlear implants were found to increase the perception and awareness of the health-related quality of life among children with hearing abnormalities. Their parents also demonstrated higher perception of health-related quality of life, according to a study done by researchers in Spain. A comparative study was done among 89 children with Cochlear implants and 63 children with hearing aids. The concept of health-related quality of life affects an individual's health triangle that includes bodily functions, social conditions, and mental fitness.
