3 Golden Rules to Nail a Meeting

Being a leader, conducting meetings, seminars, brain storming sessions are everyday affairs. Meetings, especially the ones which are supposed to be solving some crucial issues, should have a tactic.

Before going to the meeting, keep these three golden rules in your mind.

1. No Going in Circles:

If the participants of a meeting feel bored or are struggling to concentrate, that obviously indicates bad leadership. To make the participants vibrant and active, make it crisp. No 'beating around the bush'. No 'going in circles'. 'Crisp, Precise, Brief ' should be the mantra.

2. Prioritise 'What' before 'How':

It is very important to make clear 'what' the issue is. It should be emphasised in the beginning. It should be underlined at the end too. 'How to overcome the particular issue' is something that should follow the 'what' part. Going the other way around will not take you forward.

3. Follow Up:

Keep a track of the progress. Making things time bound is the easiest way to do so. Give deadlines, follow up regularly and make sure the task in completed on time. Do not forget to mention the completed task in the next meeting. Also, appreciate the right ones behind it.
