The 57th RRT shares more creative ways of vacation

Rajagiri Round Table

The 57th Rajagiri Round Table (RRT) was held on 12th February, 2020 at Chavara Cultural Centre, Kochi. A number of students and teachers of Chavara Institute of Management and Media Studies interacted with a team of expert panellists on the topic - "Vacations-Time to Reboot." The discussion emphasized the need for more creative ways of vacation. The panellists recommended a model of taking a break while developing life skills.

"Children have so much energy, which is not spent. It is tough for them to sit still even for 10 minutes, in a 40 minutes class.  We, Assisi Vidyaniketan Public School has a specialised summer camp for children where they can discover many new skills and hobbies. This camp also has space for children with special needs. We started summer express 6 years ago, in which we have a blend of activities meant for children from the age of 6 to 13. We provide a combination of art, personality development, culinary skills, trekking, and even farming. The summer camp has a therapeutic effect for children'" said Rosemary Joy of Assissi Vidyaniketan Public Shool, Ernakulam.

Thomas George and Zacharia Samuel of Computrain, Kochi, Thomas Mathai of Riya Travels, Kochi, Aaziya Shafi, Social Media Influencer, Rosemary Joy and Aiswarya P of Assissi Vidyaniketan Public School, Ernakulam, Dr PR Poduval, former Director of School of Management Sudies (CUSAT) and Dr Varghese Panthalookaran, Professor of RSET and Managing Editor of Pallikkutam Magazine were the panelists.
